Located minutes from I-90, New Dimensions is a fast-growing industry-leading precision machining business in the Marengo/Union area. We are looking for a responsible individual to maintain our machines on our second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Works with supervisor to ensure required maintenance is completed.
- Prioritizes all work orders for routine and scheduled maintenance
- Runs IO diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Performs preventative and predictive maintenance to identify and recommend required work on pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Detects malfunctions through observations (sound or visual) and diagnostic equipment (signal generators, amp meters, and volt meters)
- Troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on servo motors
- Repairs all electrical equipment, wiring starters, motors, conveyors, high-pressure pumps, and controls
- Installs and levels new equipment and makes improvements on existing equipment
- Responsible for primary maintenance and repair of the facility’s equipment. (i.e.: CNC machines, saws, thermal deburring machines, parts washers, briquetter, MMC vehicles, compressors, forklifts, HVAC)
- Troubleshoots unscheduled repairs or emergency repairs
- Communicates with outside vendors or contractors when issues may be too complex to handle
- Maintains all records of each machine’s maintenance intervals
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and production planning to avoid interruptions in schedules or promised production
- Performs major CNC repairs including spindle, linear guides, and ball screw replacements
- Navigates through Pro5, Pro6, FANUC, and Yasnac controls
- Maintains the inventory of filters and small parts to perform necessary job duties
- Dismantles machinery and repair or replace defective parts
**Shift Differential: $1.50
Requirements:
- Must have strong PLC, CNC troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Must be able to stand for 3 to 8-hour intervals if necessary.
- Must be able to climb ladders or scissor lifts and be able to work at heights over 6 feet.
- OSHA and Electrical certification are a plus.
- Must be able to work overtime as required including emergency call-ins
