Quality Technician
1st Shift

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks on CNC machined components using precision measurement tools, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues, providing technical guidance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspection results, non-conformances, and quality metrics.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including adherence to ISO9001 standards.
  • Conduct calibration and maintenance activities for inspection equipment, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurements.
  • Assist in the development and review of inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
  • Aid in internal audits to ensure that we are not deviating from our standard operating procedures.
  • Aid in creating inspection sheets, compiling information, and verifying accuracy for PPAP submittals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in quality assurance or related fields are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Technician in a CNC manufacturing environment, with expertise in precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles, blueprint reading, and engineering drawings interpretation.
  • Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, and optical comparators.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methodologies and statistical analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems and relevant industry standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and precision in all quality-related activities.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • GD&T Certification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).
